What happened: The late-August signing drew a foul in the box and converted from the spot. Atlanta had missed an earlier penalty before Breel Embolo leveled the match.

Why it matters: The point extended Atlanta's run to 3-1-1, though its 6-13-4 record leaves little margin in the East. Embolo became the third Atlanta player to score a result-changing goal in his club debut.

By the numbers: Embolo played 90 minutes and drew a team-high seven fouls.

What to watch: Atlanta returns home Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. ET match against Orlando City.
