What happened: Atlanta designated linebacker Yasir Abdullah to return to practice, per Marc Raimondi. Abdullah had been on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.

Why it matters: The designation lets Abdullah practice with the team while he remains on IR. He cannot play until Atlanta activates him. It follows a roster week in which the Falcons also placed Samson Ebukam on IR.

What to watch: Watch whether Atlanta activates Abdullah to the 53-man roster, and what it removes to make room.
