What happened: The Atlanta Falcons placed defensive end Samson Ebukam on injured reserve Tuesday due to a hamstring injury. Atlanta also signed defensive end Drake Jackson to the practice squad and released offensive lineman Colby Sorsdal.

Why it matters: Ebukam has dealt with persistent hamstring trouble since September, leading to multiple absences before the move to reserve. Jackson returns to Atlanta's defensive room immediately after being waived from the active roster, preserving depth along the edge.

What to watch: The Falcons move forward with their reshaped defensive front ahead of their next contest. Jackson will integrate into practice squad work as Ebukam begins his recovery period.
