What happened: The Atlanta Falcons selected Clemson cornerback Avieon Terrell with the 48th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Avieon is the younger brother of Falcons All-Pro CB A.J. Terrell. The selection brings the siblings together on Atlanta's defense.

Why it matters: The family reunion could foster instant chemistry in the Falcons' secondary for the upcoming season. It overrides projections like Solak's mock draft sending Terrell to the Bengals. Atlanta prioritizes defensive depth early in Round 2.

What to watch: Monitor Falcons' subsequent picks and Terrell family reactions as Day 2 of the draft continues.
