What happened: Atlanta elevated Zach Harrison from its practice squad for Sunday's game against the Panthers under the standard elevation rule. The move comes 17 days after Harrison returned to the Falcons' practice squad following an Aug. 31 waiver.

Why it matters: Atlanta adds a defensive-line option for game day without committing a permanent roster spot. Harrison would revert to the practice squad after the game unless the Falcons make another transaction.

What to watch: Atlanta's inactive list before kickoff will show whether Harrison is in uniform against Carolina and how large a role he draws on the defensive front.
