What happened: Jessie Bates III said he has been impressed with Kendal Daniels since Daniels arrived in Atlanta. The comment followed Daniels' return to the field against San Francisco on Oct. 25.

Why it matters: Daniels was immobilized and carted off against Chicago on Oct. 18 with a neck injury. Getting the linebacker back days later steadies Atlanta depth during a 2-4 start.

What to watch: Daniels' snap share in the coming games will show whether he reclaims a full role in the rotation.
