What happened: The Atlanta Falcons selected wide receiver Zachariah Branch from the University of Georgia with the 79th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Branch, a former Bulldogs standout, elected to stay in his home state. The pick comes amid a strong draft showing for Georgia talent.

Why it matters: Branch adds local speed and playmaking to Atlanta's receiving corps. It underscores Georgia's pipeline to the NFL, following recent picks like Christen Miller to the Saints and Monroe Freeling to the Panthers. For Falcons fans, this bolsters offensive depth entering the offseason.
