What happened: The 27-year-old trained with the club earlier this week before the move was completed. He was part of the Netherlands squad at the 2022 World Cup and arrives healthy after the trial.

Why it matters: The deal turns a short look into a contract that runs through June 2027, with an option for the 2027-28 MLS season. It also finalizes the move Wire Report detailed earlier this week.

By the numbers: Malacia is 27, the contract runs through June 2027 with a 2027-28 option, and his World Cup squad appearance came in 2022.

What to watch: Watch for FC Cincinnati to define Malacia's first availability after converting his trial into a deal. His debut timeline is the next concrete update.
