What happened: Portland Fire beat the Washington Mystics 75-56. Carla Leite, who set the franchise's single-season assists record earlier this month, finished with 14 points, 1 rebound and 5 assists. Shakira Austin led all scorers with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the losing effort.

Why it matters: Washington had won its last two games and carried a 12-10 record into the matchup; the loss snaps that momentum. Portland entered at 10-15 on a one-game losing streak, and the win halts that skid.

What to watch: Both teams look to build on Friday's result as the regular season continues.
