What happened: Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez publicly criticized supporters who boo the club's players, saying the practice 'never made sense' and likening it to 'booing our children,' per a quote relayed by @FabrizioRomano. The remarks come as Pérez has called club elections and alleged a 'campaign' against his presidency, per prior wire.report coverage. No recent data on which match or specific incident triggered the comments.

Why it matters: The statement lands amid a tense stretch at the Bernabéu, where high expectations have repeatedly produced audible discontent from the stands. Pérez framing fan dissent as an attack on the squad signals an attempt to rally the dressing room and shift narrative pressure ahead of the election cycle he just announced. No recent data on direct sporting impact or odds movement.

What to watch: Watch for player and dressing-room reaction, and whether Pérez's election announcement reshapes the club's public messaging through the run-in. Further context from the same press appearance may clarify which incidents prompted the remarks.
