What happened: Francisco Lindor took the field as the newest Clemente Award winner during the World Series. Commissioner Rob Manfred and Hall of Famer Joe Torre stood with him alongside seven previous recipients.

Why it matters: The Clemente Award is MLB's most prestigious individual honor for community work. Gathering eight winners together on the Series stage places Lindor in the lineage that defines the sport's off-field standard.

What to watch: Play continues with the World Series schedule.
