What happened: Rhyne Howard used a shifty dribble sequence to shake her defender and create an opening during Game 5 of the 2026 WNBA Finals. The possession kept the offense moving in a tight Finals matchup.

Why it matters: Game 5 is the swing game of the series, with Game 6 scheduled for Oct. 29 at State Farm Arena. The same Rhyne Howard who beat the horn in the CHI-ATL postseason push was later named to the 2026 All-WNBA Second Team.

What to watch: Her shot creation bears watching if the closing minutes stay tight. The series resumes Thursday in Atlanta.
