What happened: Gabby Williams has anchored the Golden State Valkyries on a postseason run to the 2026 WNBA Finals. After earning a 2026 WNBA All-Star starting nod for Golden State in July, Williams delivered an eight-point overtime performance during the playoffs to help push the roster through to the championship series.

Why it matters: Reaching the Finals in just the franchise's second WNBA campaign marks a rapid postseason ascent for Golden State. Williams credited the club's unselfish rotation and team chemistry after drawing an All-WNBA push alongside teammate Veronica Burton in September.

By the numbers: Golden State reached the 2026 WNBA Finals in its second season of play, with 2026 All-Star starter Gabby Williams contributing 8 points in an overtime postseason win.

What to watch: Golden State now prepares for the 2026 WNBA Finals with a championship title at stake in the franchise's second year.
