Rafael Camara explains how Kimi Antonelli is inspiring him to reach the pinnacle of F1 💪 https://t.co/63W499THdM Via @SkySportsF1 on X

What happened: Camara will join Haas in 2027 on a multi-year deal filling the seat vacated by Esteban Ocon. The 21-year-old won the 2024 FRECA and 2025 Formula 3 titles and now leads the Formula 2 standings. Antonelli started fourth in Singapore and finished third behind Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc.

Why it matters: Camara brings Ferrari academy pedigree into a full-time seat as the same academy graduate stepping up through the junior ladder. Antonelli provides a direct age-group precedent for converting a junior title run into early podiums. The move also puts Brazil in line for two drivers on the 2027 grid alongside Gabi Bortoleto.

By the numbers: Camara leads Formula 2 by seven points. Antonelli gained one position in Singapore, P4 to P3, behind winner Verstappen and second-place Leclerc. Camara is 21 with back-to-back junior titles in 2024 FRECA and 2025 Formula 3.

What to watch: Watch the Austin round in two weeks for Antonelli follow-up and the Formula 2 title run-in shaping Camara debut expectations.
