Why it matters: The touchdown adds another positive rep as Bernard competes for a receiving role ahead of the 2026 season. His work after contact strengthens that roster case.

By the numbers: Bernard recorded four receptions for 51 yards in his Aug. 13 preseason appearance.

What to watch: His usage in the remaining preseason action and final roster decisions will determine his early-season role.
