What happened: Germie Bernard has earned a valued role among Pittsburgh Steelers receivers. Aaron Rodgers has turned to the Alabama rookie more as his play has improved.

Why it matters: A young receiver earning a veteran quarterback's confidence can mean steadier snaps and targets. For Pittsburgh, quick development from a 2026 second-round pick adds depth to the regular-season passing game.

What to watch: Bernard's targets and snap share in coming weeks will define how far that role extends.
