Giants are releasing OL Evan Neal, the former No. 7 overall pick, as @art_stapleton reported. https://t.co/vTtvFwx9t3 Via @AdamSchefter on X

What happened: Art Stapleton first reported the move, which Adam Schefter corroborated. Neal's tenure ends after three seasons with regular-season appearances for New York.

Why it matters: His departure removes a former first-rounder from the Giants' offensive-line depth before the 2026 season. The transaction also opens a spot as New York sets its initial roster.

By the numbers: Neal started 27 of his 29 regular-season appearances (93.1%) and both of his postseason games.

What to watch: Watch for interest in Neal as teams finalize their offensive-line depth for Week 1.
