What happened: NFL commissioner Roger Goodell removed Denver outside linebacker Jonathon Cooper from the exempt list Friday. Jeff Legwold detailed the move Friday.

Why it matters: The decision restores Cooper to active roster eligibility for Denver. Active availability affects Denver's edge rotation entering the next game week.

What to watch: Denver's next game-week roster designation will show whether Cooper is activated. League and team updates will confirm his playing status.
