The league’s review of both the Josh Jacobs and Jonathon Cooper situations “remains ongoing” and is not affected by the Via @AdamSchefter on X

What happened: Jonathon Cooper is leaving the commissioner exempt list and is expected to be eligible for the Week 7 game against Arizona. Josh Jacobs comes off the list Monday with his NFL investigation remaining open. The league said neither status change ends its review of the two cases.

Why it matters: Cooper is a full-time edge starter, so his return restores the regular rotation after depth rushers carried the load. Jacobs has missed five games, leaving his backfield without its lead runner. Continued review leaves both availabilities subject to further league action.

By the numbers: Cooper: 50 tackles and 8 sacks in 17 games in 2025. Jacobs: 234 carries for 929 yards and 13 touchdowns in 15 games in 2025. Jacobs has missed five games on the exempt list.

What to watch: Active roster designations for Week 7 will show whether both return to game action. Further league action depends on when the ongoing reviews conclude.
