What happened: The announced crowd for Saturday's ALDS Game 1 in Cleveland was 34,287. The Guardians opened the Division Series at home Saturday.

Why it matters: The turnout put a full postseason crowd behind Cleveland at the start of its October schedule. It also marked another playoff home date for a club back in the field for a third straight year under Stephen Vogt.

What to watch: Attention now shifts to whether Cleveland can turn its home opener into an early series edge.
