What happened: Pep Guardiola confirmed he will tune in to watch Arsenal take on West Ham Sunday afternoon. The admission follows City’s 3-0 win over Brentford on Saturday, which moved the defending champions within two points of the top spot.

Why it matters: The City manager's interest follows a viral 'Irons' salute where he jokingly backed the Hammers to stall Arsenal's title charge. A Gunners win would restore a five-point cushion, while West Ham is desperate for points to escape the relegation zone.

By the numbers: Arsenal leads the Premier League with 76 points to City’s 74, though the Gunners hold a game in hand.

What to watch: Arsenal kicks off against West Ham at 16:30 BST. Manchester City returns to action against Crystal Palace on May 13.
