What happened: Lewis Hamilton says he has "lost out" to Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc through the set-up of his car in recent races. He finished fourth at the United States Grand Prix after starting fifth, and cited heavy understeer in that run.

Why it matters: Leclerc took a podium in Austin, which put him second only to Michael Schumacher for Ferrari podiums in Formula 1 history. Hamilton had earlier said he would not copy Leclerc's driving style in the SF-26, which leaves set-up as the area where the gap shows.

By the numbers: Austin qualifying: Leclerc fourth, Hamilton fifth. Austin race: Hamilton fourth, ahead of Lando Norris in fifth.

What to watch: Ferrari's set-up work for Hamilton's car goes into the next race weekend.
