What happened: Miami's first preseason stop is in Canada, with tip set for 7. The game had not started as of the latest schedule update.

Why it matters: It is Miami's first live checkpoint since the Heat signed guard Lester Quiñones and agreed with Dennis Smith Jr. late in September. Preseason minutes should offer an early look at how that camp depth fits into the 2026-27 roster picture.

What to watch: Watch for Miami's first preseason rotation and how its late-September additions are used. Tipoff is scheduled for 7.
