What happened: MMA journalist Ariel Helwani posted a brief 'Go Jays' message on Wednesday as the Toronto Blue Jays prepare for a 7:07 p.m. ET series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Blue Jays are currently on a three-game losing skid, including a 7-6 extra-innings loss to Tampa Bay on Tuesday night.

Why it matters: The Blue Jays (18-24) sit fourth in the AL East and are 8.5 games behind the division-leading Rays. Helwani's show of support comes amid heightened pressure on Blue Jays management, specifically manager John Schneider, following the cross-town firing of Maple Leafs coach Craig Berube earlier the same day.

What to watch: Dylan Cease takes the mound at Rogers Centre to help Toronto avoid a three-game series sweep. Fans will watch if management responds to growing calls for organizational changes following the Maple Leafs' coaching move.
