What happened: Ariel Helwani said the Knicks' championship made him believe Buffalo can break through as well. He framed that belief around what he sees as similarities between Jalen and Josh.

Why it matters: The comparison lands after the Knicks ended a 53-year title drought, a breakthrough that raised expectations across New York sports. It reflects crossover optimism rather than any new roster, injury or game development.

What to watch: The next marker for Buffalo will come from results, not comparisons. If that run builds its own milestones, this kind of belief will carry more weight.
