What will Patriots do if RB TreVeyon Henderson is out for Wednesday night’s opener in Seattle vs. the Seahawks? @MikeRei Via @AdamSchefter on X

What happened: Mike Reiss reported that TreVeyon Henderson was absent from the media-access portion of Sunday's practice. New England opens its season at Seattle on Wednesday night.

Why it matters: A limited or inactive Henderson would force the Patriots to redistribute their running back snaps. The short week leaves only Monday's practice for him to show progress before the team departs.

By the numbers: Henderson's layoff reached 13 days Sunday. The opener falls 16 days after the injury.

What to watch: Monday's practice and the final injury designation will clarify Henderson's availability against the Seahawks.
