Twice as nice. Congrats to our two-time All-Star, Hunter Goodman! 💜 https://t.co/kuT4vNjoDP Via @Rockies on X

What happened: Hunter Goodman was selected to the National League All-Star roster for the second consecutive season. The Colorado Rockies catcher will serve as a reserve.

Why it matters: The honor reinforces Goodman's status as a cornerstone of Colorado's lineup. He is the first Rockies player to earn consecutive All-Star selections since 2019.

By the numbers: Goodman has hit 27 home runs, matching the Rockies record through a season's first 90 games. Eighteen have come on the road, and his rate of one homer per 11.59 at-bats ranked second in MLB entering Saturday.

What to watch: Goodman's role in the July 14 All-Star Game remains to be determined. A potential Home Run Derby invitation is also worth monitoring.
