What happened: Carolina's prospects are set for a midday game against Tampa Bay to close the 2026 Prospect Showcase. The matchup serves as the last prospect-game tuneup before the Hurricanes shift into main camp work later this week.

Why it matters: The finale offers one more live evaluation before Carolina opens training camp Sept. 17. A strong showing can help separate players as the organization moves from showcase lineups into roster and depth-chart decisions.

What to watch: Next up is the start of Hurricanes camp on Sept. 17, when showcase performances begin to carry over into the next round of evaluations.
