What happened: ESPN's Olgun Uluc reported Illawarra is gauging the import market for a point guard. The team is in active discussions with Derrick Walton Jr. to fill that opening.

Why it matters: Illawarra parted with import Darius Days in September, leaving an import slot available. A point guard addition would settle the rotation ahead of the upcoming NBL season.

What to watch: Watch for whether talks with Walton advance to an agreement and an official club announcement.
