What happened: The basket landed with less than a minute remaining to make it a one-possession game. Detroit pressed late to force a tight finish on opening night.

Why it matters: A one-possession margin in the final minute tests closing execution from the opening tip. An early comeback win would set momentum for the first night of the triple-header slate.

What to watch: Detroit needs a stop and another score in the closing seconds to complete the rally.
