What happened: Caglianone went 1-for-1 with an RBI single before being replaced in right field for the third inning. He made a 95.2 mph throw from right field in the second.

Why it matters: The setback came three days after Caglianone was named American League Player of the Month for August, his second monthly honor of 2026. His availability is now uncertain entering the final three weeks of the regular season.

By the numbers: This is Caglianone's fourth soreness-related interruption since June 28, following left groin, right shoulder and right ankle issues.

What to watch: Sunday's evaluation should clarify his status and whether he will miss additional time.
