What happened: Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts publicly shared a wish list of throwback jerseys he would like to see the franchise bring back, in a video posted by the Philadelphia Eagles and amplified by SportsCenter. The clip features Hurts identifying specific past Eagles looks he favors. No new on-field news or transaction is attached to the post.

Why it matters: Throwback uniforms drive fan merchandise demand and shape gameday aesthetics, and a franchise quarterback weighing in carries weight with the equipment and marketing sides of the organization. The NFL's Alternate Helmet Rule has loosened the path for teams to revive retro looks, making a star QB's preference a meaningful nudge. For Eagles fans, it reopens a long-running debate about which era of Philadelphia uniforms should return to the field.

What to watch: Watch for the Eagles' 2026 uniform schedule announcement and whether the franchise signals a throwback game on the calendar. Hurts' specific picks may telegraph which design the team leans toward reviving.
