What happened: In Week 3 of the 2014 season, top-ranked Florida State suspended reigning Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston for one game over inappropriate conduct at the campus Student Union, naming backup Sean McGuire the starter against No. 22 Clemson. After Winston still took the field in full uniform for pregame warmups, head coach Jimbo Fisher ordered him back to the locker room to remove his pads. Trailing 10-3 at halftime, the Seminoles drew even at 17-17 on McGuire's 74-yard second-half touchdown strike to Rashad Greene before winning 23-17 in overtime.

Why it matters: Florida State has defeated Clemson only twice overall since that 2014 contest and holds a 1-4 mark against the Tigers under head coach Mike Norvell. Jameis Winston, now serving as J.J. McCarthy's backup with the New York Giants after being selected No. 1 overall by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2015 NFL Draft, finished that 13-1 2014 college campaign with 3,907 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions before a 59-20 Rose Bowl loss to Oregon.

What to watch: Florida State hosts Clemson under the lights at Doak S. Campbell Stadium on Saturday night with Ashton Daniels directing the Seminoles' offense. Clemson enters the Tallahassee matchup listed as a.
