Jazz re-sign Mo Bamba to two-year contract to bolster center depth

Utah adds frontcourt depth behind Jusuf Nurkić.

Wire Report IntelligenceUpdated Jul 91 min read

What happened: The Utah Jazz are bringing back center Mo Bamba on a two-year deal. He enters a rotation featuring Jusuf Nurkić and Jaxson Hayes. The transaction helps stabilize the frontcourt following the departure of Walker Kessler.

Why it matters: Utah is opting for a collective approach at the position for the upcoming 2026-27 season. The front office valued his rim protection enough to offer a likely non-guaranteed veteran minimum contract.

By the numbers: He previously logged two appearances for the franchise last season on 10-day agreements.

What to watch: The coaching staff will distribute backup minutes during training camp.
