What happened: Designation opens Cooper's practice window after his September move to injured reserve. Troy Reeder rejoins the organization one day after his Oct. 13 release, this time on the practice squad.

Why it matters: Cooper was the 30th overall pick out of Indiana, giving the receiving corps a first-round option if activated. Reeder, in his seventh season out of Delaware, adds experienced linebacker depth for practice and game-day elevation.

By the numbers: Reeder made 25 tackles in 17 games for the Rams in 2025. Cooper was selected 30th overall in the 2026 NFL Draft.

What to watch: Cooper's participation level will determine activation timing, while game-day elevations will show where Reeder fits.
