What happened: "If you're gonna name the MVP for the Postseason so far... Ashby is right up there," Jon Heyman said on MLB Network. The same Brewers left-hander who shut down the NLCS has yet to yield an earned run this October.

Why it matters: Multi-inning shutdown work from the bullpen helped deliver Milwaukee's first Fall Classic victory in 44 years. Locking down middle-relief bridge innings reduces the burden on the starting rotation throughout a seven-game series.

What to watch: Milwaukee returns for World Series Game 2 on Saturday night.
