In addition to this, Joonas Korpisalo will be out another four weeks with his own lower-body injury Via @reporterchris on X

What happened: The secondary injury was announced as a follow-up to the season-ending update in net. The recovery period extends deep into the opening month of the 2026-27 regular season.

Why it matters: The concurrent losses leave a massive void in the crease just as the preseason concludes. Korpisalo was acquired in July to provide stability, but will now be unavailable when the schedule begins.

What to watch: Management will need to explore external options to secure immediate goaltending help.
