Jorge Soler has been scratched from tonight’s game. Updated lineup: SS Zach Neto CF Mike Trout LF Wade Meckler RF

What happened: Jorge Soler was scratched shortly before Friday night's game because of hip tightness. The revised lineup put Adam Frazier at designated hitter, Jo Adell in right field and Wade Meckler in left.

Why it matters: The late change removed Soler from the heart of the order and forced a quick defensive reshuffle. His availability bears watching after the club was held scoreless in a 1-0 loss.

By the numbers: The updated order featured Zach Neto and Mike Trout in the top two spots, followed by Wade Meckler and Jo Adell. Reid Detmers was listed as the starting pitcher and later worked six scoreless innings with six strikeouts.

What to watch: Watch for an update on the severity of Soler's hip tightness and his availability for the next game.
