What happened: Analyst Isaiah Stanback named Josh Allen his midseason NFL MVP on Wednesday during a GMFB segment. Stanback argued that Allen's 2026 performance surpasses the standard set during previous award-winning campaigns.

Why it matters: The endorsement highlights Allen's sustained standing in individual award races following an opening stretch that featured nine touchdowns without a turnover. He previously reclaimed top billing among MVP favorites in mid-October following a duel with Matthew Stafford.

What to watch: Allen enters the second half of the 2026 regular season aiming to protect that turnover margin as postseason races take shape. Upcoming conference matchups will test whether his midseason standing holds into December.
