What happened: Texas Rangers second baseman Justin Foscue launched a two-run home run in the bottom of the first inning against the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday. The blast off Guardians starter Joey Cantillo scored Josh Jung and gave Texas an immediate 2-0 advantage in the series finale.

Why it matters: The early power surge provided crucial support for starter Jacob deGrom as the Rangers sought to win the rubber match at Globe Life Field. Foscue continues to establish himself as a reliable middle-infield presence after being a high-ranking prospect in the Rangers' system.

What to watch: The Rangers look to close out the series win before heading into a scheduled off-day on Monday.
