What happened: Kayla Harrison criticized Demetrious Johnson for his comments about Natalia Silva and Wang Cong, calling them unnecessary. She described a scarcity mindset as detrimental to the sport's growth and said there is room for all fighters without belittling others. She said stars are built by placing fighters in main events and developing them.

Why it matters: The exchange centers on how promotions develop emerging title-level fighters. Harrison framed main-event placement as the mechanism for turning contenders into draws. The disagreement highlights differing views among prominent fighters on public criticism of peers.

What to watch: The next step is whether Johnson responds and how Silva and Wang Cong are booked next.
