What happened: Yahoo Sports reports that Max Kellerman is urging a contender to make a blockbuster move for Justin Herbert before the deadline, calling it a Super Bowl team with him. Wire Report previously reported that the Chargers are keeping Herbert off the trade table amid an 0-6 start.

Why it matters: Herbert's last season (2025) with the Chargers was solid: 340 of 512 passing for 3,727 yards, 26 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 16 games. That is a strong line, but the 13 interceptions and modest touchdown total make the case for a top-5 quarterback debatable.
