What happened: A Warriors-Lakers halftime beer mix-up produced an accidental celebrity. A fan picked up the tab for Steve Gillis after mistaking him for Steve Kerr at last week's game.

Why it matters: The case of mistaken identity became the night's sidebar ahead of the rivals' Wednesday opener. It landed because the resemblance plus the shared first name did most of the work.

What to watch: The teams meet again Wednesday for the opener, with Gillis now a known face in the building.
