What happened: Formula 1 has protocol measures in place for Kimi Antonelli to ensure compliance with United States laws during the United States Grand Prix weekend at Circuit of the Americas. The Austin round opens the American triple-header following a pre-race visit by Antonelli to the San Antonio Spurs practice facility.

Why it matters: Antonelli enters the Austin weekend with a mathematical opportunity to clinch the 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship if he outscores Mercedes teammate George Russell. He arrives in Texas as the same Kimi Antonelli who kept his Singapore P3 podium after a fourth track-limits strike landed on the out-lap.

What to watch: On-track sessions begin at Circuit of the Americas this weekend as Antonelli and Russell contest the United States Grand Prix.
