What happened: Speaking on Good Morning Football ahead of the NFC South matchup between the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, tight end Tommy Tremble called Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles a great defensive mind who creates problems every week. Tremble also credited running back Chuba Hubbard's behind-the-scenes work ethic for earning league-wide respect. Bowles returned the praise ahead of kickoff, noting that Carolina quarterback Bryce Young is playing at a high level under playcaller Brad Idzik.

Why it matters: The divisional matchup pits Bowles' defensive pressure packages against Idzik, who served as Tampa Bay's wide receivers coach in 2023 and carries direct familiarity with the Buccaneers' system. Tampa Bay has had to lean heavily on Bowles' scheme while safety Antoine Winfield Jr. recovers from a rib fracture that carried a two-to-four-week timeline.

What to watch: Carolina and Tampa Bay square off in regular-season NFC South play with Idzik's offensive game plan squaring up against Bowles' defensive fronts.
