What happened: ESPN directed viewers to live coverage of the New York Knicks championship parade on ESPN2 and the ESPN App. The celebration is taking place Thursday in Lower Manhattan as the city honors the Knicks' 2026 NBA title.

Why it matters: The parade marks a major civic celebration for New York Knicks fans after the franchise's first championship since 1973. National coverage gives the moment a broader platform beyond the crowds gathered along the route.

By the numbers: The Knicks' previous NBA championship came in 1973, making this title celebration the franchise's first in 53 years. The parade was scheduled for 10 a.m. ET on June 18, 2026, with coverage available on ESPN2 and the ESPN App.

What to watch: Watch for speeches and player moments from the City Hall ceremony after the parade route concludes. Team and league channels are likely to continue rolling out highlights from the celebration.
