KAT AND OG 🔥 KNICKS GET MSG LOUD ON THIS SEQUENCE 😤 https://t.co/SYAYwLcTiD

What happened: Karl-Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby powered a decisive scoring run as the New York Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. The sequence, highlighted by Towns' interior gravity and Anunoby's explosive finishing, sent the Madison Square Garden crowd into a frenzy as the series returned to Manhattan for the first time since 1999.

Why it matters: With a 3-0 series lead, the Knicks are now on the brink of their first NBA championship since 1973. The victory solidifies the impact of the Karl-Anthony Towns acquisition, whose pairing with Anunoby has neutralized the Spurs' length and defensive pressure throughout the postseason.

By the numbers: Knicks lead series 3-0. Towns: Game 3 double-double. MSG ticket prices reached a record-breaking $3,200 average for the return of Finals basketball to New York.

What to watch: The Knicks look to complete the sweep in Game 4 at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday.
