What happened: Cole Knuble made his NHL debut for Philadelphia, the club his father Mike Knuble played for. Philadelphia recalled him from Lehigh Valley on Monday.

Why it matters: Mike Knuble's prior tenure in Philadelphia gives the pairing local lineage. Cole Knuble's presence adds a young forward option to the Philadelphia roster.

What to watch: Philadelphia's next lineup decision will show whether Cole Knuble remains in the group.
