What happened: Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner praised Brock Purdy's start to the 2026 season, advocating for the passer to receive more widespread credit. Speaking on the Rich Eisen Show, Warner stated that Purdy is "playing really, really good football."

Why it matters: The endorsement adds to recent praise from former players, including Robert Griffin III noting how the quarterback redefines the position's prototype. Purdy has operated at a highly efficient level to open the year, executing without an incomplete pass due to an inaccurate throw.

What to watch: Purdy will attempt to sustain his high-level processing and accuracy during his next start.
