What happened: Ladd McConkey exited Sunday's regular-season game to undergo a head injury evaluation before being downgraded to out for the remainder of the contest with a concussion. The receiver had been cleared to return on Oct. 16 after missing Thursday practice on Oct. 8 due to a foot injury.

Why it matters: The early departure compounds a disrupted October for the wideout, who also managed a rib injury prior to Oct. 4. Selected 34th overall in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Georgia, McConkey caught 66 passes for 789 yards and six touchdowns across 16 games in 2025, per ESPN.

What to watch: McConkey enters the NFL concussion protocol following Sunday's contest, with upcoming practice participation reports set to track his status for next week.
